Happy Saturday Backer Family!
As of today, all rewards have been shipped out!! If you are expecting a package and havenʻt received anything, itʻs likely that your order may still be in transit (please refer to your email containing tracking information) or we do not have your shipping information and would love to get your order to you!Filling out your Backerkit survey will get you squared away. If you are having trouble locating and accessing your survey, remember to use your the email address that matches your Kickstarter account. Should you still experience issues, please reach out to Backer Kit supportʻs amazing customer service team.
There are 11 outstanding surveys in our system. Itʻs been about 3 months since we sent out notifications and we decided that setting a deadline of 31 Dec 2022 gives everyone fair and ample time to provide the required info to ship rewards.
We're excited to launch our next project: Journey to ʻĪkua, the 3rd book in the Adventures of Nakoa and Nohea series.

Backer Surveys Are out!

We are using Backert Kit to collect all of our shipping and fulfillment information. Please check your inbox and messages for a link to your survey. Some of our backers may not have used Kickstarter or BackerKit before so we’ve included a thorough set of instructions and FAQ items below.
How do I get my invitation?You should receive an email from BackerKit this week with a link to your account that includes all your Backer information in it. Due to the large number of Backers, it will take a few days for ALL the emails to go out. Please be patient. (And don’t forget to check your spam folder.)
If you do not receive your BackerKit email by December 8, just go tothis link, enter your Kickstarter (or Paypal) email address, and click on the "Get My Survey" button. You will be sent a new email with a link to your account.
If you use your Facebook login for your Kickstarter account, the BackerKit survey will be sent to the email address you use for your Facebook account.
If you have another email address that you would prefer to use, please contact BackerKit support at [email protected] and they'll get you sorted out.
Do I *Really* Need to Go to BackerKit?
Yes! All Backers must go to their BackerKit account to let us know your shipping address, as well as color and size preferences for your selected merchandise (tshirts, hoodies, etc).
This account is also where you will return for all your digital rewards so when you’re done, we suggest you make a BackerKit login and password so you can easily return to your account at a later date.
What If I Included Extra Funds for Add-Ons?
If you pledged extra funds for Add-Ons, you will find a credit in your BackerKit account. As you go through the survey process, you will choose your Add-On items.
Can I Upgrade My Pledge Level or Purchase Add-Ons?
Yes, you can upgrade your pledge level, purchase Add-Ons (and even send some extra support to the studio in the form of tips!). If you upgrade or purchase Add-Ons, you will need to input payment information in BackerKit - but you will not be charged until we “Lockdown” accounts on Sept 23.
BackerKit Lockdown and Distribution of Digital Rewards
We will “Lockdown” all BackerKit accounts at 10pm EST on Friday Sept 23rd. When we hit the button to lockdown accounts, the following will happen:
You will no longer be able to make changes or additions to your account (except to update/change your shipping address.)
All outstanding balances will be charged.
Digital Rewards and Add-Ons will become available in your BackerKit account. You will need to return to your BackerKit account, click the “Get Your Digital Rewards” button and download your rewards.
BackerKit FAQ
1. I didn’t get my BackerKit email invite. What do I do? The easiest thing to do is resend your invite to yourself! Just go here: https://color-with-nakoa-and-nohea.backerkit.com , enter your Kickstarter email address, and click on the "Get My Survey" button. You will be sent a new email with a link to your account.
2. I forgot my BackerKit password. How do I get it? Just go here: https://color-with-nakoa-and-nohea.backerkit.com enter your Kickstarter email address, and click on the "Get My Survey" button. You will be sent a new email with a link to your account.
3. I want to sign back into https://color-with-nakoa-and-nohea.backerkit.com, but I don’t remember the email I used for my account. How do I get it? It should be your Kickstarter account email. If that doesn’t work, please email [email protected] and they will help you.
5. Why do I have to use BackerKit again? The BackerKit folks are experts in streamlining the process of delivering crowd-funded rewards. Using their service allows our team to maintain focus on making a great book.

Aloha Backer Community,
We hope everyone had a wonderful weekend with your families. We're happy to annouce that our coloring books arrived early and they look amazing!
Our printer turned these around very quickly, sooner than anticipated. In fact, the books arrived before we could get our BackerKit surveys set up, but we're aiming to get that moving soon. In the meantime, here are some sneak peeks at the interiors. We put alot of sweat equity into this and had so much fun putting this together for all of you.
The goal is to deliver all coloring books to backers by September and *crossing fingers* we should be well on our way to hitting that mark, with a very high chance of beating it. Here is our high level action plan of how we intend to do that:
July - Create Backerkit surveys and get those sent to all backers. Submission deadline will be in late July/Early Aug. We'll send another update when these are ready!
August - Packing and Shipping

Aloha adventure fans!
Once again, thank you so much for taking the plunge and joining us for yet another adventure! We raised a total of $3,016 with the help of 92 backers in just 11 days! That's amazing and we're excited to bring this book to life for each and every one of you.
The art for the coloring books is complete. We're now moving on to adding the bi-lingual lessons with fun facts, words of wisdom, and lessons that all will appreciate. After that, we'll go to layout and pre-publication before sending the coloring books off to the printer.
As always, we'll keep you updated as we make progress. Once we're ready to send out our surveys to collect your shipping information, we'll reach out and get your books shipped to you.
In the meantime, we hope you're enjoying the start of summer with your families! And if you're looking for something fun to do this weekend.....

WOOHOO!!! With 24 hours left on the clock, we're happy to add yet another beautiful coloring page for ALL backers. This one is brought to you be Michael Watson at FSK Comics.
$2,500 is amazing! Thank you for putting your trust in us and coming along for the ride yet again! We're in the final 24 hours and we are excited to bring another book to life for all lovers of fantasy adventures! This was a quick campaign. I'm grateful that my strategy to keep it low stress worked out and allowed me to focus on balancing my creative energy and the need for self care.
Ryan and I had a blast sharing our creative process when creating Shadows of the Ancient which you can check out on our channel, the Moana Nui podcast. Our friends have contributed some amazing new concept art as we build out the mythical mo'o creatures for this universe. The ideas for Book 3 are flowing like crazy and I'm loving every minute of it! It's gonna be soooo much fun!
Earlier today, I had the honor of being a guest panelist on Diamond PreviewWorld's "AAPI in Comics" roundtable where I was joined by Ming Chen, Kuya P, and Ana-mia. We had such an amazing conversation talking about our love and passion for comics, pop culture, and our lives as creatives. Check it out here!
